Information

This programme is designed as the basic ministry course to provide graduates with undergraduate theological education to prepare and equip pastors and lay leaders to bring effectiveness in their existing Christian ministries.

This programme prepares for ministry formation by deepening theological understanding and integrating their faith and practice, and helping to strengthen the Christian witness in contemporary society. It aims to train students to think deeper and cultivate Christ-like character.

The curriculum covers the basic theological disciplines of Biblical, historical, theological and practical studies.


Means of instruction

Nepali language will be the means of instruction. However teaching can also be done in English with Nepali translation, if needed.

NBBC will find and recruit the local pastors or lecturers who had obtain B.Th., or above degree by recognized college to teach these courses.

NBBC will recruit her B.Th., degree Program graduates to teach some of these courses.

Evaluation

Class Attendance and Participation (10%)

Class attendance is mandatory. Student's class participation and attendance will be evaluated in each class by the lecturer. Students who are absent for more than two days during the course will not receive a credit for this course.


Class Test/Mid Term, etc (10%)

During the course, lecturers may require class tests, quizzes or any class works as per need.


Reading and Paper Assignment (30%)

Each Subject requires at least one book reading. The lecturer may require reading log, reflection, review or report of the reading as the major paper of the Subject


Final Examination (50%)

The Final exam is held at the end of the course. All students are required to attend the final examination.


Graduation Requirements

  1. Successful Completion of all Subjects with a minimum grade point average 2.3 on a scale of 4.0 for all course works.
  2. Confer all financial obligations to the college.
  3. File an application of intent to graduate to the college office four weeks prior to graduation to certify that all graduation requirements have been met.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS & PROCEDURE

Requirements for admission:

  1. Candidate must have clear vision with definite call and commitment for Christian ministry.
  2. Candidate must exhibit Christian and social maturity. Some vocational experience in a Christian or secular setting would be helpful.
  3. Candidate should have good health in order to cope with the demands of the college study. Applicants should be able to speak, write, and conduct day-to-day conversations in Nepali.
  4. Candidate should be able to pay the cost of the studies.

Applicant should submit the followings with the admission form:

  1. Tuition Fees. NPR 500 per subject
  2. Two recent passport size photos (for application Form & office usage).
  3. Personal Testimony with clear vision of the call
  4. Copy of Baptism Certificate
  5. Church Recommendation
  6. Copy of Academic Certificate ( If possible)
