A Brief Introduction of NBCC

The Nepal Baptist Church Council (NBCC) was established on 11th April 1993 with Eight (8) local Baptist Churches across Nepal. NBCC is working in the field of Mission & Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Planting, Leadership Development, Social Work. NBCC is continuously building the Leadership Capacity of Local Baptist Churches to make Healthy Missionary Churches for the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

NBCC has 341 Churches and 246 Fellowships, 3 Ministry Departments, 3 Sister organizations, 5 Provincial Baptist Church Conventions, 21 District Baptist Church Associations, and 333 ordained pastors/ ministers. The total Baptized members is 31,565.

NBCC Vision 2050 was endorsed in the 13th General Congress 2024 which aims for Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication together with Local Baptist Churches in Mission.

Mission Department aims to plant new Churches in unreached areas of Nepal by sharing the Good News and mobilizing provincial Baptist Church Conventions, District Baptist Church Associations and Local Baptist Churches. Mission Department will equip and empower local Pastors, Church Planters, Missionaries and local Church leaders by providing short term mission trainings, seminars, workshops and Pastoral conferences. Mission department is committed to mobilize various activities to build healthy local Churches. All the sub-departments will work together to fulfill the above goal of mission department by working and serving people to transform lives and communities.

Multipurpose Community Development Service (MCDS 1994) is the relief and development arm of NBCC that works for social awareness, health improvement, education, environment protection, income generation and disaster risk reduction (DRR) in different parts of Nepal. MCDS works towards sustainability development by empowering communities that aim to bring a positive contribution to the nation building, MCDS and community work together to identify needs and integrally work with individuals, group and community-based organizations to transform the society. It portrays Godly love through action.

Nepal Baptist Children Education (NBCE)

Nepal Baptist Children Education aims to educate and empower Sunday School teachers and Children with sound biblical knowledge. It was started in 2012 as Nepal Baptist Children Fellowship (NBCF) now it is named as Nepal Baptist Children Education from 2023. This department is working on the course/curriculum for the Children ministry among the local Baptist Churches and fellowships. It has been organizing various trainings for Sunday school teachers and helping Children for their holistic development.

Nepal Baptist Seminary (NBS) is the education department of the Nepal Baptist Church Council. It began in 1998 as the Nepal Baptist Bible Institute (NBBI) and was later renamed Nepal Baptist Bible College (NBBC), then Nepal Baptist College (NBC). It is now officially registered under the Government of Nepal as Nepal Baptist Seminary (NBS). NBS exists to equip and empower leaders for the Church, the community, and the nation. Its mission is to provide sound biblical education and to prepare individuals for practical Christian ministry. Currently, Nepal Baptist Seminary offers the following accredited degree programs: Bachelor of Ministry (B.Min.) Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) Master of Divinity (M.Div.) Master of Theology (M.Th.) These programs are accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA).

Nepal Baptist Women Ministry (NBWF) was established with the vision of transforming the lives of women. Thus, it educates, equips and trains Nepalese women through leadership and skill development training, seminars & workshops to transform family, church, society and the nation as a whole.

Nepal Baptist Youth Fellowship (NBWF) was established on May 9, 1995. It has provincial wings to mobilize youth ministry activities across Nepal through leadership, music training, worship seminars, spiritual conference, life skills development activities and outreach programs to prepare youth for effective ministry.
